is my gyro b******d?

Hi folks

I've got a problem with the gyro on my Belt CP. It won't initialise, just tries and after a few seconds gives a flashing red light. Obviously there is no response from the tail servo.
Before I pull anything apart, and bypass the gyro and see if the tail servo is working, has anyone come across a failure of this kind?

The helicopter is only about a month or so old and has not done much flying, has not been crashed (yet!), and was working perfectly when I last flew it a couple of days ago. It seems abit strange to me that it should fail for no apparent reason.

Is your rudder trim centered?

If you are using the Esky gyros (rate or HH) they like to have a proper centre signal before they'll initialize.

No it's not! Just tried it with the trim centred and guess what? it works!
I guess I must have knocked the trim since I last flew.

You're welcome. I believe it's part of the secret Esky initiation ceremony, along with stripping your main gear with the idle up switch...
