  • New Starter dsx9 vs ff7 2.4ghz

Im new to the world of rc helicopters and have just built my first heli a raptor 50 se. All I need to complete is the tx and receiver. In the past I have used JR equipment in my plane flying days and was waiting for the new dsx9 to come out which according to inwoods will probably be tmrw when they get there first stock however im now woundering if im potentially wasting £300 here and could I make do with the futaba FF7 2.4ghz. As a beginer will I notice the benefits of the dx9 or will the FF7 be just as good and save me some money in the proccess? Othere than 2 extra channels whats the dsx9 got that the FF7 hasnt?

    Thanks Steve

    No.

    Yes.

JR programming - some say it's better... I sort of agree, but I never had any issues with my FF7 to be fair. I use the DX7 now (a rebadged JR 2720 transmitter) and get on well with the programming on that too.

I think your choice should really be between the DX7 and the FF7 2.4ghz.
    Cheers,
