is there a time of year when all the new stuff comes out and people tend to sell stuff to pay for their upgrades?
just wondering as there could be a deal to be had ?

Generally january, february, march, june, july august september november october or december when certain users are on the forum (Im talking about you maj / tony / ben haha)

Over the past few years I've noticed that the prices of helis is seasonal, coming up to Christmas you can seem to pick up bargains around but when it gets to March time the prices seem to increase. Maybe it's just that some people need extra cash for Christmas or they just can't justify them on a shelf doing nothing but there is some kind of trend.

i know in other hobbies there were definite seasonal trends and wondered if it was the same here?
i guess shows and the like are hotspots for second hand kit and bargains plus always a chance to see the heli in action that way too

I guess when new models come out. For example, Goblin 500's appeared second hand with then G570 came out ...

Sussex model centre is selling the blade 550x super pro combo for £350 - that is a steal as its half the original price, the beastx is £135 alone

At £350 that is a proper steal!

It's a fantastic heli too, never sold because of blade plastic reputation. Be aware it has been discontinued, however I'd guess there will be spares available for another couple of years yet and even if not the electrics/motor etc.. can be transferred to another model, making it the deal of the year

The 550x has NOT been discontinued!

Some earlier SKUs were discontinued due to the removal of the orig eflite ESC in favour of Castle products. But the heli is still in production.

edit. There are hints of a v2 in the works though ...

I thought the 500x had been discontinued and not the 550X although not certain on that.

My bad. The kit is still on the website.
The combo HAS been discontinued; I'd dare to guess the kit will soon follow however you're right Tom it is still on sale.

You are indeed right. The combo (both with and without the CC120HV) is showing as no longer available.
