  • Beginner's pitch curve

I've search this forum and internet and noticed that everyone says set pitch curve to 0,5,9 for beginners. I take it that this makes it so that heli hovers at center, with 5 degrees pitch on the main blades.

The thing is I have a Raptor v2 and the manual says it should hover at 6 degrees. Now, wouldn't that make it 0,6,9 instead?

I know, I could just try them out and find out, but I'm a beginner and can't find an expert near me.

    Any ideas?

If you have a pitch gauge set bottom -1 hover +6 Top +9.
These figures are just a guide the final tweaking will happen when the model is flown .
Your looking for a sensible head speed( not fizzing ) in the hover - this will give you a relaxed cyclic needed for learning .
If you can't find someone to help you keep questioning this forum and help will be there - Have a look in the model shops there are books and video's on the subject..
    Good luck
    Dave
If it's not fun, your not doing it right !!
