    Hello guys
Am changing from futaba to spectrum.
Can you buddy from a JR hand set to spectrum.
JR is mode 2 and I am mode 1 on buddy will this work I think he would lock in to my 2 satellites they use the same ones.
Just got hold of a spectrum AR7100 recv these are mainly for heli.what would be a good gyro for these.
    2 heli flybarred and flybarless.
Thanks for all your help to every body.

No it won't work mode 1 to mode 2, you would need someone who flys mode 1 in order to help you with buddy. The old JR would work with Speccy as they shared the same 2.4 module but the new software on the DX9 I would think incompatible.

I think mode 1 to mode 2 (or vice versa) will work between two DX9's via the wireless link, so you could do it if a mate had a DX9 too.

(at least, I'm fairly sure, but wouldn't bet my house on it! lol)

Any mode to any mode will work on the same brand of radio as the channel assignments are the same. Different brands don't usually work as the protocols and channel assignments are different.

Yes. As the channel assignments remain the same for the systems but they are operated by a different stick.
Futaba throttle is channel 3 and on a mode1 Tx it's on the right hand stick and mode 2 on the left hand stick but it's still channel 3.

I've used this setup frequently in the past to train fixed wing pilots. But one of the clubs I'm a member of have a dedicated trainer that uses one of these: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...trSearch=buddy
which allows you to use to use two different brands of radio but needs two receivers to be fitted to the model.
