    Hi,
Just a quick hello from a newbie, I've joined as I'm planning on moving up from my hubsan quad and wanted to take advantage of all the experience on this site. My next purchase is going to be a sim, quick question though, I've got my eye on the phoenix with the dx6i, but this only comes with the v4 sim. Am I right in thinking I can download a free upgrade to the v5? If not then would the dx6i and v4 be a better buy than the dx4e and the v5? Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome o the forum.

You can upgrade from V4 to V5 free as it will check for updates when you install and download V5. Go for the DX6i option as its a great transmitter that will see you into the start of the hobby.

          Hi mate,

I see you're from Blyth. Are you part of the club there? There are a few members on here including myself that fly there.

I'm not a member yet, thinking of getting a 125sr next and a sim before I move up in size and need to join a club.

I know what you mean, I'm still unsure whether it's worth starting with the blade 200sr, or would that be too big a jump?

A Blade heli in the smaller range - say up to 300 is a great trainer heli. Some like the mcpx, some the 200s, some the 300s. Stable. East to repair. Don't suffer too much in a crash.

                  Enjoy

Do you think the dx6i version is worth the extra £30? Will I ever use it other than with the sim or is it just a better looking transmitter for the sim?

The 200srx would be perfect. It's designed with people like yourself in mind. It can start stable and easy, but can change modes such that it flies like a collective pitch heli. It's the first trainer heli that can progress with you meaning you won't outgrow it in the first two months.
