  • Servo help ASAP

Hi everyone. I'm just replacing my servos on my b4503d. I haven't put the horns on yet, should I have it in mid stick collective in idle up? 0.25.50.75.100 curve. So that I can put the horns on at 90 degrees? Mainly thinking of the front collective servo. Fitting it now so fast help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not familiar with that helicopter specifically but in general yes, you'd want to get your servos at a point where you can determine as close as possible where the horns are going to go. If they're all at mid stick (prob best to use throttle hold and just make sure your pitch curve has mid stick at zero) you should be able to judge real close and you just may find once you connect the linkage that some minor adjustments have to be made because the new servos will most likely not center exactly the same as the previous ones.

      Servo help ASAP

Cheers so in conclusion when fitting new servos make sure the tx is at mid pitch in hold/idle up. Thanks.

Midstick and setup in normal mode on tx first, then do idles afterwards.

Throttle at mid stick in normal, servos will centre, then put horns on at 90 degrees, then adjust linkages to suit for swash. ??

Cheers mate, got it all sorted. Tried to do the squash by eye. Tried to hover in a bit of wind but was drifting, just got to do the fine tuning to get it stable. Thanks for the help.
