Best batterys for Trex 500

It is a good way of doing it at the time I had a 450, a 500, a stryker rc plane and a Bixler rc plane all of which ran on the same lipos so I didn't need to buy all different types and sizes of batteries. I just shared the same ones across the lot. I used the 3 cell lipos on their own for my 450 and the planes then I just doubled up two of my 3 cell lipos for the 500
I don't own the 500 anymore as I sold that on but I use the same 3 cell lipos in my 450 and both planes. So all I have to do is just keep a collection of 3 cell 2200 mah lipos and I'm laughing and if I ever wanted to get a 500 sized heli again I'm good to go with the lipos I have even now

What sort of flight times did you get out of two 2200 3s's? I fly 100% throttle in idle up for whole flight. Cheers.

I only use 6 cells for my 500.which suits me due to having a vario jet ranger which take 2 6 cell lipo.

That's cool, I just don't want to buy lots of 6s lipos incase I decide to get something like a 700x.<br>what battery configurations do people use for 600's and 700's?&nbsp;

I think for the 600 they use 2 X 6 cell which am looking into for 600 trex for a 600 size airwolf .
So with the 6 cells I can swoo and change between the 3 heli.But with the 700 not to sure.

The old 600e used a single 6s 5000mah the newer 6 and 700 heli's use a pair of 5000 mah batteries

the 500 uses between a 2600 and 3300 6s battery

That's what I thought from having a little look on specs, think I'll use my 3s's and perhaps get a couple of 6s's to suit the 500

I use Zippy compact 2700 25c on my 500 DFC, they have good performance and at a good weight
