  • Starting out - again!

    Hi all,

I'm not new to RC Heliaddicts - joined about 8 years ago hoping to get started, but things never got off the ground -so to speak - and the only thing that has flown since then .... is time :big grin:

I'm back with a renewed interest and looking to get help and advice on how to get going. Are there any fliers around who live and/or fly in W, N, NW London?

I'm not sure about joining a club just yet but was hoping to maybe get more info etc about getting started and other stuff.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks all.

Welcome back! I was wondering where you went :-)

I'm up in Hertfordshire so can't really help in the North London area.

A popular way to get started these days seems to be one of the Blade micros, for example:

The Blade 200SRX might be a good option for starting out again ..

          Thanks you @ st200ol.

Life is a little like a heli - has its ups and downs .... but its good to be back.

Being in Herts - are you with the Watford Wayfarers per chance?

I'll look into getting one of the Blade micros you suggested. Thanks for that.

Hi m8 blade 200 srx is easy to fly for a beginner and as you gain confidence you can switch to intermediate or pro for full control. Also consider a sim it's great for learning the basics save time and money but it's nothing like the real thing.
