Clubs in Essex

Good morning all

Can anyone out there suggest a good club to join in the Southend-on-sea area?
I'm getting fed up hitting the gazebo and strimming the few flowers I do have!

there are other clubs in this area quite a few actually but TTI is going to be your closest.

I have a Honey Bee V2 that I can hover most of the time!
So far it's only been in the garden on very calm day's and in the house.
I recently bought a 450XL which looks like it may have had a hard life, I guess that's the risk you take buying second hand on eBay.
It's not ready to fly yet, but I am getting there.
I already had a transmitter for using with Phoenix simulator.
The heli needed batteries, receiver and now just requires a experienced health check.
I bought the recently advertised PL8 and have ordered a Coolice PSU, way more than I need at this very early stage I know.
I assume the next step will be joining a club and getting insurance?
I'm just not sure if I should go with RCHA or BMFA which I believe offer insurance.

well you have certainly got your charging needs sorted out. youll not have to buy another charger for a fair old time.

Your more than welcome to come down and say hi, I may well be there on Sunday if your about let me know.
at TTI I hate to say it but they will only Accept BMFA insurance I have tried to change them but no luck yet.

We have the grand children for a sleep over Saturday/Sunday, It's my guess I will not have time to breath let alone anything else!

I assume you know James who suggested your club, maybe I could contact you both when I am going to TTI.
I'll get my BMFA insurance and club membership sorted out.
It's good to know there are people on the forum that are close to me.

You wont get a better introduction to the club scene than the 2 lads above, watch out for that tony though, he is a bit strange and thinks he can hover a bit.
You have chosen a good route for sure,well worth going down to see the lads put their helis through their paces (bring binoculars when james is flying) and a hard hat for tony ....pmsl

Will do soon Jamesy boy, Saturday mornings are a bit of a git for me as i have to run my lad around for his tennis lessons, wish i could have got him into heli's lol and i'm off to Vegas tomorrow for a little treat
