  • Raptor 30 v2 blade spin direction

I'm noticed that the manual shows that the main rotor blades are inserted what appears to be setup for counter-clock wise spin. I know this because in the picture of the blades are mounted so that the thin side is facing counter-clock wise. Is this a mistake on the manual?

I've read up on the internet that raptors main rotor blades spin clock-wise?

    Anyone know who is correct?

the blades spin clockwise (looking from the top), the "thin" bit of the blade is the trailing edge.

          Raptor blades

Somebody I know fitted the blades the wrong way round on a raptor 30 (its had 1 or 2 upgrades) and the thing still hovered.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

          And a DX8 too

That raptor must have been shaking like a leaf when it was spooling up.

Did the owner attempt forward flight ?

I would be very surprised if it could fly.
If there was any large variance in blade pitch the heli would have hit the ground fairly quickly.

our young 3D guru, who shall remain unnamed, flew a faultless full 3D flight with his rebuilt model and only on returning to the pits realised one paddle was on backwards!!!

He was complaining of high head speed!!!!!! but he is a very competent flyer,
