  • Been shopping,and i can fly!!........

I bought a blade 400 in the end and on my first flight i crashed it,more to do with space rather than loss of control.
I bent the feathering shaft, main shaft and blades.I was really surprised how easy it was to fix (once i had found a main shaft thanks to ghostlyrocks post and fast-lads.co.uk were brill they were the only ones i could find that had it in stock(geat website and fast delivery)
I have just one question i have it set up with 20% expo as set up from my LMS but it has a very slow response when i move the sticks to bank or move forward or back i have tried it as it back at the normal settings and this feels a little better but i would like to try make it more reponsive as there is lots of travel on the sticks before anything happens and the heli is hovering like it's on a pendulum

thanks guys and hope the suns not away for long

What about the dual rates on your tranny , you can adjust them to two settings , 1 for docile and 2 for more resposive ( more travel on servos ) If not then possably your end points to increase the servo travel.

if your using the dx6 its the first menu under model select.
it uses the two switches on the top front of the tx (elev d/r) (ail dr) defaults are 0=100%
              1=90%

Presumably you can set the 100% up to 140% if you so wish and the 90% up to 100% boggy . Ive the ff7 fast and im sure itll be a wee bit different but same principles

no jamie 100% is the max you can set d/r
travel adjust goes to 150% but i fear that may over drive the servo's so wouldn't advise it! still cant get my head around it not been responsive enough unless as you say something is turned down low!!

hi the d/r expo reads AILE 0 100% INH
                          ELEV 0 100% INH
                          RUDD 0 100% INH
this feels better than what my LMS which has the INH set to
20% on the AILE and ELEV cheers.
And no, there's no weights on the fly bar thanks Rat

right so if its all rebuilt and nothing is sticking around the head area (check all your arms and joints) and you really feel you need more response go to the dr/expo menu and set the last part (inh) of airl /elev to a minus value. i would only go 5% at a time cos man is that thing gonna be twitchy!!

also just check in your travel adjust menu and make sure every thing is 100%
and flick the two d/r switches from 0 to 1and check the values are the same! in both menu's
