Twister Storm

Hi all

I have recently started flying helis and am now just about past the hovering stage. I have a Belt CP and thinking about a Twister Storm. One thing that is putting me off is the £25 + for a set of blades. Does anyone know if you can get cheaper blades for these ?

yer you can put a set of woods on it, but it WILL alter its performance.

£25 for a set of carbons is not that bad though, you could also try fibre blades, agin less performance but better than wood and still cheaper than carbon.

the Storm or Blade400 (prety much the same heli) is/are grate helis for beginers, and cheap to fix when you bump them.

Twister storm

I'm in pretty much the same boat as you, maybe a few days ahead.
I've bought the Twister storm & am very pleased with it. I am using it as my trainer heli, after my easy copter V6 & phoenix sim, & as such bought some £9.99 wooden blades with a white plastic coating, didn't want to trash the nice shiny carbons.
They are slightly smaller than the carbon ones. They have an added benifit that 1) you can see them. The black carbons disappear. 2) they are smaller, more forgiving for those landing wobbles. 3) two for the price of one. 4) start with them & you don't know how much better carbon blades are, it can only get better.....

They need trimming down to fit the head, but if I can do that, then so can you. Just superglue up the cut ends, helps with strength etc.
