    managed to get the lad out with his hawk today for a bit more training we have now fitted it with a tail servo mount and pushrod kit any one with a hawk id reccomend one from the standard set up its a lot better


    trouble is the better he gets the closer he thinks hes getting to flying my scaler's 8O (He can dream :lol: )

    excellent, remins me of my own son, while he was learning to fly. he was flying circuits on his 3rd tankfull so i took the heli off him!!! (well i didnt want him to get better than me!)

        I like the decals on the hawk, do they come with the kit....

        How old is he....my oldest keeps on asking but he's lack's common sense at times and I'm not so sure how he'll cope.

          hi stu he has just turned 11 but he was 10 when he started at the end of last year only managed to get a couple of tanks before the weather changed this is his forth tank and he now seems to be able move it were he wants it and hold a hover for a few secs his learning his learning circle seems to be going a lot faster than mine was mind you at there age there hand eye cordination will be a lot quicker than ours.I also made him biuld it under supervision to see how it all works
          as for the stickers no there not standard they were orderd from canada they are the tiki design i have the web address some were theyll make decals for any heli heres a pic of my cali with original canopy with tiki design im getting them to do a set for the new ft canopy

          ill dig out the web address for you the decals are made from a type of vinyl and go on real well

                My oldest is 9 in May. I may try the tip with choose a heli...I was just going to buy a Caliber .30, but I may offer him the Cal .30 / Hawk and Airskipper .30 and see what he bites on. I suspect the Skipper as he's already been asking if he can have a go if this..

                Plus most parts run between the .30 & .50 so it will help too...
