    Hi
    I've jest started with hellis and normally fly plains.I see people using a tray for the transmitter,should i use one or not

      I have one, never used it. I bought it just to try. I look at is like a cumberstone, I want it nice and easy. A neck strap will be just fine, so for me; not.

        tray or not

        Depends on the tx. I used to use one but with the 14sg it balances perfectly off the strap, so no need for a tray.

            If you already fly planes, stick with what you're used to. There's nothing specific about helis that means you need to hold your TX differently!

              I know guys that pinch with fingers and thumbs and find the tray better. I'm thumbs only and only use a tray for my tea

                I'm a pincher so use a tray to fly heli's and sloping. 40 plus years of fixed wing,strap! However I do have arthy ritus in my neck so a tray takes the weight off

                  Whatever you find most comfortable,tray or no tray, strap or no strap, pinch or thumbs it all depends on teh person
