I think before anyone can really give a full answer we need to know the extent of your disabilities.
In principal most of the training aids will have advantages and dis-advantages, however, in your case you also have to consider more carefully the aspect of saftey for both you and any person who may be needed to assist you.
I know we've talked on MSN and you mention that you have transport, but cannot find a good club in the midland to help you out. Can you be more specific in term of where about in the midlands.
As mentioned I prefer the old ball and stick approach to learning, plus a good simulator will help you tremendously. With more information we should be able to get you heading in the right direction.
