  • MCPX BL - More Speed on Tail movement

Hi, I was just wondering what I need to adjust in my DX9 to get the tail to move left/right faster, I've found that its abit sluggish for my liking with no expo on it at all.

    thanks,

I don't think you can change it. I guess that's the limitation of a fixed pitch motor driven tail.

Kenny, if there's no expo then negative expo should increase sensitivity thereby making movements faster. Positive expo dulls down sensitivity on spektrum radios. I don't know if negative expo is available on spektrum radios as I've never done it.

If you're looking for a faster pirouette rate you can up the rudder travel in the transmitter mate I like 120%

Of course you can change it!!! Just up your rudder rates in your tx. Rates or travel adjust. I have my nano at 115 on the rudder

Thanks everyone for your replies. I think I'll go with increasing the Travel and maybe dial in abit of negative expo see how that feels. Its just that I was out at the field today flying in 20km/h winds, in IU I found the tail abit laggy in circuits and not turning quick enough...

I would think the tail would struggle in those kind of winds anyway though. See how it feels with increased travel. I think there will be a cut off level wind wise beyond which the tail will struggle regardless of what you do

Spektrum radios do have negative expo and you can clearly feel it,
tough as mentioned here, increasing the travel to max, and then play with the D/R works well for the pyro rate in these micros.
