Hi Doug and welcome to the forum mate.

I remember when I first started out on Phoenix I as well thought it was a complete impossibility to keep a 450 in the air hovering or other wise.

But your soon gain the feel and work out how the two TX sticks work in tandem kind of canceling out each others single attempt to plough the heli on the deck, but when synq'ed together perfectly make any heli hover and dance wonderfully.

Then your reach the stage where your think "how did I ever have trouble before," its a wonderful feeling of achievement and rewarding beyond words.

Stay with it mate, so long as the passion urges you on your be well on the road to success.

What a fantastic statement Wayne and very true..

          --------------------------------------------------------------------

Well passion for this hobby is what you need and Paul (Dougie) has mountains of it so I know he will get there with those long hours of practice on the Phoenix I'm sure.

He saw us flying up the field about 3 weeks ago and was totally amazed by the helicopters flying etc, He had a long chat with us on the day regarding what was needed to start this hobby then un-known to us the very next day went out and bought a Blade 400 3D from Leeds Models.

Only last Sunday he turned up at my house, Blade 400 in hand wanting to further his knowledge in the hobby but unfortunately had the urge in the week to "Try" and fly it with no help from us..

The inevitable happened and he crashed it virtually before it left the ground.

New parts bought, Heli repaired and after some sound advise from us he has now got the Phoenix sim to make that first step into this great hobby.

Welcome to the forums Paul, This place is a wealth of knowledge with mountains of help from everyone.

Look forwards to seeing your maiden flight very soon.
