  • Lipo Cell Voltages

Hi guys, Just got some 22.2v 2650 6s Lipo batteries. I was wondering how much difference in each cell voltage is acceptable?, also I had a battery which I forgot was still charged 3 days ago and now having checked the voltage, all the cells read 96% charged apart from one which is 68%, is there something wrong with that cell?

That cell sounds duff to me, I wouldn't use that battery. How long was it fully charged for? Opinions will differ with what's acceptable between cell voltage but I'd say upto 20mV difference is acceptable, all my batteries balance out between 1-11mV.

I normally keep using Batteries until the performance drops off so much that they are unusable. Has that one reached that point? If not then just keep using it.

1st off, charge it up and check the cell voltage, then leave it a few days and re check.. if one cell keeps dropping then its self-discharging for some reason (Internal fault).

It will work but eventually it will puff and become useless..

About three days without any use, its a new battery and I initially did a balance charge, when I checked it 3 days later the one cell had dropped more than the others...
