Mode 1 to mode 2

I have just bought a twister cpx which is meant to be a mode 2 controller, unfortunately it is operating as mode 1, how do I change this?
All I can work out from the manual is how to reverse servo direction and how to adjust sensitivity, which I can't see will fix my problem.

not sure you can, even expensive tx's dont always allow to be changed from mode 1 to 2, if its ready to fly out the box, just return it and explain the problem and get it exchanged.

would changing the servo connections to the receiver not do the trick? but change which ones?

That wont change which stick the throttle control is on, on the transmitter

Thanks Chris, just so I understand this, if it was a airplane I could swap the servo connections for elevator and throttle and this would have the effect of swapping what the 2 sticks do?
But you can't do that with a helicopter because more than one servo is used for each function? Is that correct?

It isn't just that pitch and throttle need to go to the same stick, it is also that the springs and ratchet will be on the wrong sticks.

Mode 1 has the left stick sprung to remain centered, mode 2 has the right stick centered.

If you just swapped throttle channels to put throttle on the left stick you'd be at 50% throttle unless you actively held it down, not a safe way to go even on a plank.

I really would return this to the store as a fault and let them sort it out.

Edit: just saw your other post, probably a good idea to keep everything in one place

So if the springs are already set for Mode 2 but the channel assignments are mode 1 then it is a clear fault and should be returned to the store.
