I think you get modules that go in the back to bind with different receivers but don't hold me to it I am still green as grass with all this stuff haha

I would seriously look at replacing that tx with something more flexible.

It is a short range device intended for indoor flying and only built for use with Walkera receivers so no, it will not bind with any of the Spektrum based BNF models.

The Devo devices are popular in China and work with the helis that are common there, but it is not a great choice for use with anything bigger than indoor models and you are going to limit your options if you stay with it.

You are not a million miles off the mark, you can mod the Devo radios with all sorts of 3rd party firmware and you can graft other parts into them to enable wider support of other receivers, but it is not a simple 'plug-in' requires getting the soldering iron out.

I would take Mark_T advice and seriously consider replacing the Tx with something else. If your looking at the blade 130x then I would go down the Spektrum route as its almost bind and fly, all thats needed is a little transmitter programming. Once your ready to move up in heli size all you need is a spektrum receiver. DX6i's are relatively cheap new and secondhand there very cheap or if you want to spend out now you have the options of DX7, DX8 and DX9 to choose from.

If that is the JR PROPO it won't work. I think it can be modified to 2.4 gHz but you would still be better off investing in a newer transmitter.

If you have the Spektrum DSM2 module fitted to it then yes.

If you have an older 35MHz module then no.

You will probably have to spend around £60 to get the DM9 module for the PCM9xII, so do at least consider if a brand new Spektrum DX6i might be a better investment for your needs as it will not cost much more than that.

The PCM9xII is a beautifully built radio, a real classic, but it is getting on a bit now and you may find it a little harder to program than the DX6i.

Once you have either the module or a Spektrum tx, you will be able to use any of the wide range of BNF models from Blade, E-flite, Parkzone, Hangar 9 or HobbyZone.

Mostly I guess you will be looking at the helis from Blade - Helis: Blade - #1 By Design

So I should just buy a Dixi 8 and have done with it then pick any blade I want to fly might need to win lotto to keep this hobby going thanks mark keep in touch

I have the devo 7e, devo 8s and I've just bought a 12s.. They're all running deviation firmware available at Home. The 7e is a good transmitter but it is range limited unless you do the range mod, which consists of removing the transmitter module shield and shorting a diode. I tried it and it was too fiddly for me..the 7e is now my Simulator tx..hehe..

Have a look at the 8s or devo 10..I fly a 450 stretch running a fubar and devo rx a few planks with older walkera receivers and a trex 700e dfc pro with beastx..on my 8s..never a glitch in over a year. .just moving stuff over to the 12s now as I only got it last week. Well worth a look and a lot better value than the spektrum stuff.

Rereading your post if you're only using it on a 130x it should be fine..its only got a 7mW output so you'll only get about 60-70m range.but it should operate fine with the deviation firmware which allows you to bind to dsm2/dsmx and all walkera protocols and a couple of others with no hardware mods.

I have a dx6i I it is realy nice to use and easy to programme and only around £90 new
