    Treff,

    i'm 60. I started about 6 years ago. I still can't do 3D and probably never will.

I can do sport flying and I hope to improve on that this year. I have thought many times about bailing out but I have that thing that says " I've been beaten"

I think others have said that you need a target each time out. They are dead right. If you stay in your comfort zone you will get nowhere. Go to the field and have a go at that one new thing you want to do. Try it on the sim first, but when you walk away from the field having not tried it you will feel a bit of a chicken - ask me how I know. lol

I thing you should try to perfect sport flying. Let's face it - we did not grow up in the gaming age. We can't think in 3D, but we can be deliberate and controlled - and that is sport flying.

Don't give up and I won't. There's a challenge . Let's compare notes and see if we can both progress in 2014

If you do decide to pack it in, keep at least one heli and your transmitter. The addiction will never go away.

For what it's worth I can tell you that I am 65. I started just over two years ago. There have been times when my learning seemed to be a painfully slow process but then I would improve slightly and become encouraged again. I spent a year just hovering tail in!

I have now progressed to (very rough) circuits and figures of 8. I can also do nose in for quite a few seconds. The great thing is that I am enjoying it. I am also greatly enjoying and benefiting from being a member of the club.

      Whatever you decide, good luck!

Why did you change flight mode throttle cyclic and aileron on left stick and elevator and rudder on right stick works go back to the way that you have always flown it may be a problem for someone else to fly but if set up in flight mode 2 by a competent flyer changing it back to mode 4 will not alter that set up

                Are you me?
I will never be you. For a start you are a young whippersnapper. Then there all those EGS, all those helis....
