  • What I found with syma s107 mods

I spent a lot of time looking at all the mods for the syma s107. I found a lot ov the mods just made it float forward and not hover I think I have found a nice medium for the little 107 as to be fair I think it is more fun just trying to fly it under over and through things also landing in awkward places

I did all the mods at first
    Took off all decoration
    Moved battery forward
    Move skids forward
Glue bb in front of canopy ect

But I have put it back stock and just left the battery and bb mod also waiting for a pinical rear rotor ( should be here tomorow) it now hovers very nice and has slight more forward speed so that's how I am going to leave it I think it is perfect for messing around in the living room with

    Hope this helps some people

I'm sure it will help somebody Mark. There are too few of these type of posts on the forum for the "lower end" of the hobby models.(And far too much snobbery towards them) can I suggest you alter your thread title to include syma S107 it will improve search engine chances

That's what I thought mate most people start with one of these then want it faster but most of the mods just make it fly bad and take the fun out of flying it

ps don't no how to edit title haha

I think a lot of us started off with something like this,I did anyway wasn't the same model as yours but very similar,if I remember right I turned the tale blades round so the blades faced downwards to get faster forward flight ,you may need to move the tale fin forward a wee bit so the tale blades don't catch,it may work on yours, but take care you don't brake it

Well the pinical tail rotor came today ( £3 for 5 off Amazon ) so I stuck it straight on and turned the rotor upside down ( if you don't the controls are backwards) and I have to say it has made a big difference to forward speed it's still slow to no reverse but I can live with that

so that's the mods I have done to my little s107 and it now flyes fast and still hovers great and in my eyes there the only mods that need doing all the rest spoil the fun of this little heli

                hope someone finds this helpfull

I just thought with there been loads of different threads about mods for this little heli and most people start with one off these that I would try them all and see what works
