Phoenix 1.05g out today

Am I the only one with problems with the 1.05g update? I downloaded it and installed yesterday but had real problems with jerky graphics. It was fine with the heli above the horizon line when the amount of graphics on-screen reduced but otherwise unuseable. I've gone back to 1.05f again and everything is fine. I know it's not computer spec, running a Core 2 Duo 6750 with 4Gb ram and an Nvidia 8600GTS card at 1440x900, on Vista though

Nope you're not the only one, I have the exact same problem -- am using Vista on a Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2GHz laptop with 2GB and a GeForce 8600M GS -- very jerky graphics whereas v1.05f ran perfect in native 1280x800 so I've gone back to that. They've already got the red canopy 600N in it so I'm happy anyway

Same spec as my laptop but i've upgrade to 4Gb memory. Do you have the Sony Vaio VGN-FZ21S?

Me too - no problem running 1.05f but unusable jerky graphics on 1.05g.

I've no doubt it will be sorted so I'll wait for the next release.

Anyway - it has proven that my canopy design skills are absolutely awful!

I hear that about design. I've been trying to paint the BCX2 yellow on there, but it looks bloomin' awful.

been having a look at this just now and maybe i'm the only one but i have one question...how the heck do you put your own canopy on it?

oh and one more, the text size is huge, has anyone sussed how to reduce it? i don't know why none of the buttons have mouse overs, i guess that will be done later.

Haven't worked out the canopy yet but the text size is simple, on the bottom left of the screen it shows what to do, if i remember right i think you hold shift and then move the arrows to scale it. I will have a look later. Being a beta it is a bit confusing but seems to work well once you figure out the controls. They're not obvious at all yet, took me a while before i spotted the status bar at the bottom with the instructions.

Close, it's the FZ21Z - I don't know what the difference is with the 21S but they're clearly very similar so it suggests it is suddenly a lot more memory hungry and is thrashing the pagefile on the HDD for people with mobile GPUs and 2GB of unified memory. Or something.
