  • Phoenix Beginner

    Hi Guy's,

My thoughts at my second attempt on Phoenix.
Like all, or most beginners on Phoenix I'm struggling but enjoying it,quite a learning curve to say the least But, this is the strange thing, most or nearly all of the Heli's I was useless on,trying so hard and skipping from one model to another,THEN... I come across the Blade SR...Wow..this is fantastic for me and certainly the most stable in a hover [for me]
I am now doing a stable hover in all directions and even flying in all directions with rudder turns only, I'm happy to say the least!
I can now see myself concentrating on the Blade SR to learn all aspects of CP flying,is this wise?
Weird thing is,iv'e seen the 'real' Blade SR get some bad reviews, but if it fly's like the Sim, I may get one!

the SR on the sim is positively stable... that means that it self levels this isn't realistic compared to most helicopters.

Most helicopters are at best neutrally stable so it will stay in the attitude you put it in or marginally negatively stable.

Some of the models in the sim are unrealistic or just have really strange settings.

Whilst the Avant Aurora is a 90size helicopter it is a fairly realistic one, start off with the hover training, on elevator only, then elevator only then elevator and aileron.

If you are struggling, book in your free google helpouts session with me (link below) we will get you going really fast.
