just been watching this video Day 1 Part 2 - Controls & Setup - YouTube
i like the idea of having two settings on my controller to keep it all calm while im learning like he has in the vid,, my question is would i do this by setting the end points to reduce movement?

Sort of, depending upon your Tx you would introduce dual rates, so one way you have full throw the other you select what you want so say 80%.

A bit of a description, although it may not be exactly the same for your Tx, I know it's a plane but it's the same effect
