Hi All
Been saying for years I'd never get into heli's but guess what? a mate bought a honey bee, had a go, and am totally hooked!
Bought a CP2 & FMS sim a couple of weeks ago - abit twitchy (so's the CP2!) but getting the hang of tail-in hovering. Waiting for my first big prang - won't be long!!
Anyway, if I give it a handfull of wellie, the gyro seems to kick in a split second later, after the heli has yawed left about 90 degrees. Is this normal, or is there some adjustment I can make? If I'm smooth on the sticks it seems to behave ok. (Not very often smooth on the sticks yet though!!)
Also, I need to retrim left rudder as the battery runs down, none of which helps a complete novice like me. I'm lusting after a belt CP
- would the belt driven tail rotor and independent gyro & ESC make things more predictable?
I don't want to spend mega bucks, most of my dosh goes on full-size gliding, but this is such great fun - I've been flying fixed wing RC for 25 yrs & thought I could fly, but I'm learning to fly all over again!
Any help and tips really appreciated
Phil
