  • Hi all

Hello, yet another noob here. Been having a read around on the forum and found lots of good info.

Ended up getting a Raptor Titan with an OS engine and the Phoenix sim. Spent lots of time on the sim and had my first lesson yesterday. Managed to get a few good hovers in. Now its back to the sim for more practice

Hello busterboy, I live in Ripon. I got in touch with a guy at a club called Hambleton Helis just outside York. He has helped me get the heli setup and take the first steps in flight. Thanks for the offer, you can never have too much help!!

I fly with a mate who lives at Ripon and we fly either where the carboot sale is held next to the racecourse or at our farm here at Stainburn.

BTW: I have worked for Alfred Hymas at Burton Leonard for the last 25 years.

Never thought of flying near the racecourse. When I start getting confident with my hovering will have to look it to that.

Alfred Hymas you could be one of the bugger I get stuck behind on a night on my way home from work

I very much doubt it, The lorry has lived here on the farm for the past 25 years so nothing to do with me all those slow lorries doing 40mph holding you up on their way home..
