  • help please

    Hi,
    i'm new to r/c helis.i just bought a hirobo shuttle 'm having trouble getting the timing belt on.any help would be much appreciated.
    In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

    Make sure it's twisted correctly according to the manual and use a piece of string to pull it down the tube.

    Loosen the boom clamp bolts at the fuselage an slide the boom right in to give yourself some slack. Once the belt is on, pull the boom out to give just enough tension on the belt so that when you push one side of the belt with a screw driver, it doesn't reach the other side.

    Some people set the tension by hanging the heli vertically downwards from the boom.

      Make sure the boom clamp/horizontal fin mount is loose when you do all this.

        just did it but the boom doesn't sit flush with the clamp is this normal

            If you mean the boom does not go all the way to the forward end of the clamp when you have tensioned the belt by pulling the boom back a tad,as long as you still have most of the boom in the clamp and it is secure when the clamp is tightened them I would think it would be fine mate. ( I am new to this as well,so if you want to wait for a more experience chap to reply then I will take no offence).Just thinking out alous as mine is the same...
