Basically can you buy a new aerial for the DX6 TX?

Inwoods do them for the DX-7 - not sure if it is the same as the 6, but I think so

Kind of begs the question, why do you need a new Aerial?

You mean did I sit on it and it broke off up my colon lol.

No what happened is it was sitting upright on the floor I got up and when I came back one of our cats rubbed against it at the same time I tried to miss it and my foot broke one of the plastic hinges, a simple replacement at Inwoods so after tomorrow it'll be back to normal, it works OK but the plastic hinge gives way under a little pressure.

On my DX7 the base of the arial cracked I'm not sure how it happend I just noticed it one day. The base is not part of the ariel it just holds it in place but the problem is you cannot buy that part, I had to get onto horizon and they ended up sending me one.

If the setup inside is the same as the DX7 its a fairly easy change wire comes down from the ariel and plus into a VERY VERY small plug on the circuit board then you just need a long phillips to undo the screw on the botton of the ariel itelf. Theres aclever little slot in the body of the transmitter so a long slim driver will fit through instead of having to take out all the boards.

I know the part your referring to, it's the base where the imitation cooling fins are housed.

Nick at Inwoods said it's an easy repair just take the back off and basically do as you just said.
