  • walkera 36 or esky belt cp

Hi all.Now i,m getting used to me df 22e i want to move up.my mates have gone for the walkera 36 but the more i read on this the less i want one.I have read better reviews on the esky belt cp and it isnt much more money than than a wankera oops i mean walkera but comes with a brushless motor. So which is the better one and are these two the same size.
    Cheers!

    Dave.

i would say get the best you can afford now.. take into concideration the cost of spare's.
and no if you can fly a belt cp, you'll get on fine with a trex(trex is probably easier to fly).
also invest in the phoenix flight sim it will save you hundreds of pounds in repair costs, not only virtualy but by improving your skills also.

Hi, Ive just purchased the Belt CP myself along with an Esky Headlock Gyro. I also done lots of reading up about them and for the money, I think its a great alternative to a Blade 400/TRex if you dont want to spend that much..

Not wanting to hi-jack the thread but does anyone know where in the UK I can purchase the upgrade metal parts from as one kit rather than having to buy them all seperately?

Ive seen them on Ebay from china (or there abouts) for £50 plus shipping..

Good luck rotowrecker! Get the Belt CP :-)

                    Cheers,

                    Matt

I would say that if you can afford the T-Rex, then it's not a bad thing to go for it now - saving the cost of an intermediate heli. However, I would also recommend that you get Phoenix as the same time.

My first heli was a 450, but I spent loads of time on pheonix whilst building the 450, and also loads of time researching and learning how to set it up properly.

I would be lying if I said that I hadn't crashed the T-Rex, but it only happened when I started top get a bit more adventurous. If you have the spacial awareness to fly another heli, then I think you will get on OK with the T-Rex 450.

sorry rich but i dont think that is valid advice! buy what you can afford yes, but saving the cost of an intermediate heli no. if it were the case why aren't we all saving up for 3grands worth of vario turbine's instead of flying our raptors /600s etc??

You missed my point....Rotorwrecker said he was considering a T-Rex 450 next and asked if that would be jumping the gun. What I meant was that if he can afford to go to the T-Rex now, then go for it as it is a much better heli and as he has the experience of a the dragonfly, I think he could handle the T-Rex.

Sure, if the funds aren't there right now, then it doesn't make sence to halt progress by waiting around saving up, so choose one of the others.
