  • Looking for Belt CP spares near Aylesbury/Tring/Hemel area?

    Hi all,

My new Belt CP has suffered a slight accident and in desperate need of a "Flybar Center Holder".

Does anyone have one I can buy off them or know of any model shop in this area that will help me get up and running again for this weekend?

    Thanks all..

    Matt

PS. Hope this post is ok in this forum..

Hey there. Yet another pilot in the area. I'm over by the Industrial estate N/West tring.

I saw motors and rotors over in Kings Langley, although from skimming thier website it doesnt look like they do much from esky. Could be worth a call still though 01923 270405

Not noticed any others in the area though.

    Trex 450SE V1
    - Futaba 2.4GHz.
Bladerunner Micro Mosquito - The toy.
    Pheonix -
The less expensive way to crash.

      Hey Rat,

      cheers for the reply..

I saw their website but funnily never ventured into it or called them..

What else do you fly? I started on a Blade CX2 back in December last year and have been flying that indoors.

Just got the Belt CP this week.. bought a HH Gyro for it, installed it and flew it today..

I really wanted to fly it today so I chanced it in the garden.. I knew it was too windy... Just as I was about to land it to go back in doors a gust of wind pushed it down to the ground and it fell on its side and broke the "flybar center holder"...

Im thinking about trying to glue it coz I really want to get out there and fly it...

Im on one of the streets off the high street but was thinking about trying to find somewhere more open than my back garden..

Tring park sounds like a good idea!

What do you fly and where do you fly it?

      Cheers,

      Matt

Currently i just have a little toy micro mosquito thing. Am just getting going on pheonix before I start looking into spending the big money on an actual heli :/

The reason i say yet another, theres a friend of my landlady just round the corner here who i think flys nitos over at Halton, and theres one of the guys at work bought a honey bee king 2 off ebay. (last i heard that was in bits again, flying in a cramped factory not a good idea)

Some stripped teeth on the main gear..

So, again, in doors with the BLade CX2 until at least tuesday when the newe parts arrive for the Belt CP..

gonna try and get up tring park maybe tuesday arvo as I am not back to work until thursday.. :0)

By the looks of things, it might be worth hanging on for a bit for the weather to die down anyway - storm warning tonight/tomorrow.

If ya fancy, give me a shout on here and can wander down say hi if you do decide to give it a bash in the park.

You've got me looking at the Belt on ebay now as well as the Century 450 and Blade 400 i was eyeing up.

              Damn it!
I used to live in Tring with no heli pilots now all of a sudden two of you have cropped up!

Tring park is excellent for flying in (assuming you only have micro helis), especially the little valley as it gives you height to recover but still enables you to fly at eye level
Just watch out for the bullocks in the park, they tend to be a bit wary of small buzzing flying things and they can also be quite inquisitive.... just what you need when trying to fly is a massive cow nose shoved in your face

              As for local(ish) model shops
Moors Models in Watford (next to croxley station)
              Skyline Models in West Wycombe
              Motors and Rotors in Watford
I think Old Town Models in Hemel has gone now?
Hobby Stores in St Albans (sure the one on Aylesbury is now gone)

When the weather is a bit more reliable I'd love to meet up with you guys in the park for a blat about the sky, it might even give me some incentive to get my Hornet up and running again.

                Hey guys,

Yeh would be good to meet up with fellow heli fliers. None of my friends are into helis so I havnt met up with any other heli fliers yet.

Saying that, Im not really a heli flier yet! I can fly my CX2 nose in etc etc around the house but my Belt CP is another story.

Its now thursday and I still havnt got it flying. Latest news: Didnt realise the one way bearing thats in the main gear doesnt come with the main gear. When I tried to remove it from the old gear I damaged it.

Ordered another main gear with bearing already fitted yesterday, posties just been but no parts Hope they are here for the weekend.

Yes, gonna have to wait until the weather is much calmer than it has been over the past few days.

I'll all up for a meet in Tring park.. Sundays are better days for me but could manage a saturday. When the long summer evening arrive then any day in the week will be good for me. Hopefully by then I will be able to fly my CP properly.

                Cheers

                Matt
