Phoenix

Following the general trend of advice towards getting a simulator. I ordered phoenix and an esky tx from buzzfliers.co.uk on thursday morning. Arrived today and its brilliant.

Selected the trex 450, and after about 30 seconds of mad piruetes midair, ditched it sideways into the lake.

Then proceeded to destroy approx 10 more sets of blades taking out bits of the landscape and the simulated me.


Switched over to the cx2 model. Docile as anything. Is this anywhere near real life? I made an effort to smash it up and still missed first attempt.

Then of course, the raptor 50 came out. Wow, does that thing move. Whosh, then thought, while its up there, lets see what this inverted thing is like TBH the raptor inverted seemed nicer than the 450.

Still all things must come down, and it did, back in the lake.

Just like to mirror the recommendations to go get a sim, and thanks to all those recommending phoenix.

make sure you go to the phoenix website and download all the planes, helis and scenes + the lastest 1.05f phoenix programme update.

if you dont then you will have trouble joining in multiplayer sessions.

Does anyone else have problems in multiplayer mode ?
My computer slows to a snails pace and the graphics are not smooth at all, like there is a slow network connection or something ? I am on 8M broadband with virgin so wouldnt of thought it would be an issue ?
At the moment the multiplayer is unusable due to the lag in graphics ?

Ps I also have an upgrded graphics card.

Once in a while I have a problem connecting and slowing.

Could be not your end, of course! Could be Virgin are at max capacity also?
