Heli for Teenager

Guys some advice please. My boy turns 16 in a couple months and is dead set on getting a heli. I would like him to get a CX but he has absolutely nowhere he can fly indoors. I have supplied him with Clearview and my old USB TX and he has begun to get his hand in.

What do people think of the Honeybee FP for a complete novice to learn outdoors with?

Any other suggestions?

Couple of points though before you all go recommending a 50 or a T-Rex....

Must cost no more than £150
MUST MUST MUST be cheap and easy to repair as he will be buying all the spares himself!

Anything small and fixed pitch is a big no no for flying outside. Look at maybe a Twister Firestorm, they retail for between 120-140, but they have no Transmiter or Reciever in, but its worth the extra. Other than that, its a CX2 or Medivac or something, but they only fly outside in NO wind what so ever, and bet you can't remmeber the last time it was like that.

the small FPs are no better outdoors than the CX2. and that only leaves the CP stuff which is more expensive both to buy and crash the blade 400 is the best cheap one but is a long way out of the budget.

what about a copy of phoenix, if he shows that he can fly that properly (miles more realistic than clearly-poo) then it might justify a bigger budget?

if he learns and picks it up really quick on the sim

i think he will be ok with belt cp or king 2

us teenagers are better than you adults and i reckon he will be able to handle them (only with LOTS of sim practise ofcourse)

on the other hand he might get pi$$ed off with it.... ???

for indoors and outdoors (in a breeze at worse) you cant get cheaper than a twister FP. its so basic theres hardly anything to fix. cheap to buy cheap to repair and safe headspeed yet its got all the controls of a large scale heli so its worth struggling over that initail hurdle of hovering with that then get a king 2 or belt cp if you must keep the cost down.
