I had a go with one at an indoor meet. It was so stable, I could pirouette it without any cyclic input. Too stable for me. I think beginners might have a little trouble converting onto something else afterwards. I would rather save some 's and get a hummingbird or twister.

The problem we found with the TREX was that it is just a little too big for a normal indoor meet. At Swanley, the only 400 size model allowed was the piccolo. Then the zoom was allowed in, but many pilots thought that was a bit big. At the last meeting, there were four TREX's. The problem was that they produced a lot of downwash and no one could fly near them.
As Chappers said, you can't compare the two. As for saving 's, I've just got a brand new Raven 50 for the same price as a TREX.Ant
