  • Twister Medevac - Lower blades not turning

Had my first binding crash which was done whilst learning nose in hovering. It caught a plant and bound the lower blade round a stem.

After the rebuild the lower blades barely turn even on full power. Do I suspect motor or is it more likely speed controller?
What do you guys recommend I do to diagnose it?

    Thanks.

Swap motors and see if the problem moves to the other blades.

If so it's the motor, if not it could be the speed controller.

    Cheers

Check the locking collars that lock the main gears to their shafts are tight enough, they sometimes slip.

There is a lot of good info on the Medevac here

Yep, it's the motor! Swapped them over and now the top rotor is slow. Upgrade time it is then! Wow these things are high maintenance!

        Thanks!
