  • New Twister Medevac Bell - questions already!!

    Hi guys,

Looked up this forum before getting my RC Bell, and now, having taken the plunge i bought the Twister Medevac Bell.

So i have been trying to trim it correctly which i think i did and then was starting to get some successful flights, at least hovering and manouvering slightly.

However, i think possibly i got too confident and the inevitable happened, i crashed.

So i had to replace one of the rotor blades which was easy. But the flybar got slightly bent, which i think i have straightened ok.

However, now i have to trim the heli a lot to stop it from spinning, i have the trim almost all of the way to the right but it still spins, (even though it is a very slow spin). Did i do more permanent damage when i crashed or have i knocked something out of configuration etc?

Maybe its my imagination a bit too as i dont want to damage my new "beast"

Thanks for your help in advance, from what ive read it seems a very friendly place around here.

Are you centering the trims for each flight as it will reset the centres each time you disconnect the battery? then if you trim it from centre is it still bad?
I find that sorts mine. It won't be long till you do a more substantial rebuild anyway!

thanks for the advice, i hadnt been resetting the trim after each battery change so i will see if that makes a difference when i try it tonight.

      Cheers

Replace the blades in pairs too. Unbalanced blades can cause wobble & vibration.
I buy the CX2 blades which are 1/2 the price of medevac ones & I can see no difference.

Thats interesting about buying the CX blades, might have to give that ago. It has to be said that i have wrecked an undisclosed number already!!

Man this flying stuff is hard.

Yeah, I've noticed the Twister Coax helis seem to use the same blades as the Blade. It makes it easy to get blades at least.

A lot of pieces are inter-changeable between the two.

On my Twister I have a 4in1 unit, outer and inner shafts, and blades all from the CX2, all fit and work fine.
