  • what lipo?

Hi all, another newbie here. What lipo's do you prefer on your trex 450 se v2's. I've been hovering on and off with a stock shogun v2 for a few months now using 2 x flightpower evo25 1800 mah 3s1p 11.1v lipo's. Yep that’s right a shogun v2 not brilliant I know but it’s helped keep me in the hobby. Unfortunately one lipo is ruined and doesn't hold its charge anymore (motor cuts out about 3/4 stick after a full charge). Other lipo works fine. Anyway I’ve decided to increase the fleet and get myself a trex 450 se v2. Whilst building the trex I’d like to replace the ruined lipo so I can still use the shogun but later on be able to use it for my trex.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated

    Hi Nick

If you buy a new Trex V2 kit, you will get a new Align 3S 2200 lipo in the kit

    Kinda solves your dilemma!

What about the weight of each pack. The Revvo 2100 are pretty light which suits the 450 very well. Does anyone know the weight of the 2200s? I ask this because the 2100 is more than enough for proper 3D and if the bigger packs are more expensive/ heavier or both there seems little point.

Also if you are getting the revvos, get the Cellpro charger. It can charge you packs very quickly and will balance them properly. I've got six of them and have kicked the S##T out of them and they are still going strong.

                    hi nick
I hope you realise there are C ratings and C ratings, depending on who is printing the labels
My 2100 18c revolution outperforms my 25-30C maxamps - but both are pretty good. It was the maxamps I flew on saturday. The numbers on the flightpowers and thunder power are generally regarded as quite inflated.
The 2100 revolution is a little cheaper than the 2200 and is lighter and might be better in the shogun anyway.
Oops, what I meant to say is get a 2200 with deans so I can borrow it for a fly to see how much better it is than my 2100 revolution.

The 3 cell align pack in the kit is not very good quality.

I haver a cellpro charger too if you want to see how they work.
You can't have too many trex450 packs!
