Having just ploughed in my 500 after a tail ejection. Can you guys give me some advice on how to get it down in less than 2 or more pieces ?

Plenty of practice hovering your heli while holding the rudder (piro-ing) on the spot.

Practice what Alan Szabo does in the first few seconds of this video.

As with any situation like this hit Throttle Hold, that'll stop the tail spinning then its just a question of how good your autos are!

I forgot to mention that is the first job...Throttle hold.

Thanks, I did throttle hold (first time in real life) but with the wind i couldn't keep it level as it came down. I guess i just froze up a bit. It was a learning experience so i will take the positive from it and hope to do better if it happens again.

Well if its any consolation its not easy with a 500!
