Edge Carbon Tail Blades issue

I've just received a set of edge blades in the post this morning and i have to say I'm unhappy with them.

One blade has gel coat cracking at the root, and the other is ok but it's gel coat a bit of a let down.

Question is would you fly with them is it just gel coat cracking or more, for me it will always be in the back of my mind will it fail in flight

I am by no means an expert, but I would send them back and get a new set, for peace of mind more than anything, like I say no expert, but if your worrying now, then what about when your heli is in the air??

From the piccys it looks like its just gel coat cracking. If you unhappy them though, send them back..I sure they will replace them

I agree with the above, I would happily fly them but would be inclined to send them back as they are not really up to the spec of brand new high end tail blades..

Then again after grass stains etc probably won't notice it .

Same opinion here if there is any problem with them obvious faults like cracks etc, I would be incluned to send em back straight away.

I have received a pair of mains and also a set of tails for different Helis that had blemished finishes.. nothing to do with affecting the performance of them... but..... I still sent them back for another set

I paid for them.. they should come right and perfect.. Would you pick up your brand new car with paint blemishes, for the same price as the next guy with a perfect one? lol.

Worst incident I had was I received a set of blades, maniacs, they had the balance bung missing and one of the blade weights was broken loose inside I sent them back, next thing I know im being told ive been digging at them with a screwdriver "obviously" so thier not going to do anything.

After ALOT of calls shouting chasing up I finally begrugingly got a replacment set of blades these were maniac 2's the fixing hole was only 3mm the bolt 4mm, the answer was to "drill it", never bought another pair since.

You should have being with Ben the day his new tail blade's failed on his 700N, Hell knows how he saved it and no one got hurt would have made a great utube vid.

To be honest i don't think i want them replaced with a another set of edge blades, any align blade's have being always 100% spot on.

i brought a set of SAB 690x64's and there was a chip in the coat so i took them back and got another pair! and £82 a set i wasnt having no chips!

You know I'm surprised that Revco did not have better quality control during the manufacturing... I guess this must be just a rare case where it escaped all the checks...
