  • R50 Paddles

    Hi,
Anyone have any ideas on paddles for a Raptor 50, I have the XeroG eCCPM conversion kit & was thinking about fitting the 80mm V Paddles.

Anyone used these V Paddles on their Rappy ?

I have previously used K&S paddles but found them a bit pitchy in FFF.

Can't comment on the Raptor 50, but I do have a set on my Milli.....I love them very crisp and nice in the hover and good responses.
    Cheers

        Hi TC,

I havent personnaly tried V paddles on a rappy 50 but there are one or two people at the field that have them on theirs. The general consensus is that they are lively, accurate and precise, without sacrificing hovering stability. Sounds like everything a paddle should be to me 8)

If you have a look in my gallery, you will notice that I use the MA white 3d paddles on all sizes of raptor, from the 30 right up to the 90. For what they cost (8.50) from Motors and Rotors, they are about the best balance of agility without sacrifising stability. I have tried a handful of well known brands over the last 18 or so months but these come out the best of them all.

Just another option if your 50 machine is going to be the general hack and practice machine

        Cheers,

        Pete

Not long fitted Vs to my Raptor 50 and the cyclic rate is much better - well worth it.
As has been said, they do take a little getting used to and they are a bit expensive especially when the little ferrule gets lost from the end and it's new paddles time.

I was warned away from the greenies as they are pitchy in FF / FFF

I've not tried them so can't comment from experience. The change from the stock black TT paddles to the V's for me was pretty amazing. I guess it would be much the same going from blacks to greens.
                  Cheers, Lee.

i find that greens are too light and make the model very twitchy in fast forward flight. Vs are even lighter but their aerofoil shape makes them progressive.

the white ones are a nice compromise but are quite slow... this is my main issue with the raptor. You cant get it fast on the cyclics without it getting nasty in FFF.

Hi , got a set of V's on my raptor 90, and they are fantastic!!! got the green TT paddles on my Raptor 50. Like Ade says, fast forward flight can be a problem as it will pitch forward. The only thing to do is buy a set of TT paddles and see what you think! Either way, you wont be dissapointed!!!
