  • My Impressions Of The 3mm Curtis Super Stubz

Having read good things about the Stubz I went on a mission to get some. It was blowing about a 15-20mph wind, but thought what the hell and put them on anyway.I tried them first with no weights at all (cos i forgot to put them on!), and then with the weights fitted and moved all the way out to the paddles.

Without the weights they were much much quicker than the standard t-rex 600's crappy ones, but in the fairly strong wind they were quite pitchy and really made the nose want to pull up.

With the weights fitted (butted right up to the paddles) they were just as quick, but they lost all the pitchyness that they previously had. In fff they were very accurate, but very quick when pushed a little hard.

For £35 (bought from the heliaddicts store - not a single shop or online shop i tried had them in stock!) they are a brilliant cheap mod, and really made the rex a pleasure to fly, even in the 15-20mph wind. Now ive gotta get another set for the Knight 3d!
