The radix stubz are very twitchy indeed!!! ditched them fast after experimenting with weights but too fast for all but the hardcore 3D pilot IMO

Running the black aligns on my SG and they worked really well on my Aurora too before.... not sure whether they are a little lighter or heavier than the stock white ones for the 700 but they feel nice

      Reasonable price too

        Tony,

I've always had great success with the Hirobo Freya (0414-108) paddles. They are quite a large surface area so are very powerful. However they come with integral weights so you can make them as light or heavy as you like depending on your needs. They also feature a very nice section that makes them very smooth and predictable and not at all snatchy like some paddles. Really they are a very versatile paddle which can be tuned to suit most flying styles. They feature two grubs screws on each paddle too.. so no worries about them shifting in flight!

        Cheers

well I needed a couple of other bits and as I have stubz on a couple of other helis I thought i'd give them a try, thanks for the warning though mark, if I dont get on with them will change them out.

theres nothing wrong with the feel to me of the align ones, just ones broke, and to be honest not a great fan of how they look. so something had to change

I have found V-paddles to be a great match of stability and speed ,great in F/F flight and fast in the cyclics...

Cool... let us know how you get on. have tried them on my Vibe 50 and they are nice but just too crazy on the 90 size. I think the Synergy likes them but that could be down to the heavier flybar. Start with the weights all the way out and go from there... if super fast cyclics are what your after you may get on with them mate

Yeh i have to agree with Mark on this one, the stubz are just to much, nothing wrong with the standards, in fact i use the align ones on my aurora also

I've got V paddles on one and Align standard whites on the other and to be honest there doesn't seem much difference apart from the Aligns might be a touch smoother.
Tried radix on a 600 and too twitchy for me (bloody scary) but they are supposed to be ok on the 700.

the other thing to consider is that the main blades themselves will also have a bearing on how the paddles perform and "feel". i am using stubz and normal radix on one of my 700's and it feels great and tracks superbly. then again I am using standard align paddles with stick bangers on the other and it too fels great. the other consideration here is servo speed on the cyclics of course.

all that aside, i have been told that the torsion paddles are superb, but have not tried them myself.

Well I tried the stubz yesterday, had the weights al the way out. Have to say after the warning was a little aprehensive as to how it would handle with them on but I have to say it felt greart, I really like the way it tracks and it just felt smooth but very sharp, infact it doesnt feel awhole lot different to the standard aligns, maybe i'm just not to the level that would notice such differences.

Had a few flights with them so well happy. which is a relief as I started wondering if I had done the right thing as i'd ordered them before te warnings LOL.

as a note i'm using them with align D blades and ds620's on the cyclic.
