  • "KBDD paddles" anyone used them?

Anyone had a go with these on their 90 size machines? KBDD Neon Yellow HP 90 Paddles (4mm)

I have always liked their products. Also the Tail blades seem to be popular over the pond. Plus the colurs are cool

Well I guess I will find out as I have just ordered a set of paddles and tail blades for one of my 90's. If they are any good they will save £50 in the event of a crash as they have cost me £16.88 for both from Readyheli

I used to use the KBDD tail blades until some "expert" said they couldn't be as good as carbon, so I stopped using them.
Then the other weekend I was doing hard forward flips from take off and the tail was letting go half way through the flip.
So I refitted them and tested them back to back with a set of torsion tail blades and couldn't tell the difference. Both KBDD and Torsion blades held with no problem and put up with as much abuse as I can give them.

They do indeed look like the same kind of shape as the K&S paddles I've got on my 90.

I also don't quite 'get' the idea of paying a premium for carbon paddles. What benefit do they give you over moulded plastic ones which are a fraction of the price of carbons?

I came to that conclusion early on when I swapped my stock Align 600e paddles for Stubz @ Thirty six quid a pair Not worth it at all but they did look nice

Doing hard moves that push the tail to extremes can cause plastic tail blades to bend, unlike carbon. When they bend the force they are able to exert (amount of air they push back) is reduced. But the KBDD blades for some reason seem to hold rigidity as well as carbon and don't seem to suffer anywhere as much as the Align blades to bending.

Carbon tail and main blades make sense, but it's paddles that I don't get.

Well I flew the 700 tonight with the KBDD tail blades and paddles and lets just say, there is a set on order for the 600 already. These things are great, even had to drop the gain 2 clicks on the Spartan
