  • 5mm stubz on a synergy, weights?

    Chaps
Do you need to fit the weights for the 5mm stubz on a synergy n9, they seem extremmley light but i do like fast cyclics but i feel they might be to extremme and unstable. help

Can't help regarding the Synergy James but I have the Stubbs on my 600e and certainly have the weights fitted.

It says they have to be fitted in the instructions BTW.

i know pros who fit the weights as the heli is near unflyable without them, its that responsive. i spose if you reign it in on your setup youll get away with it, but id personally fit the weights

I would think it'll be pitchy as hell in FFF if ya dont use the weights. But the cyclics will be quite rapid. But im speaking from a Knight 3D point of view so it may work out diffrent on the Synergy with it being bigger/heavier.

contrary to what everyone has said so far, no weights on the synergy! On the knight i have them fitted to i have to use weights to stop the pitchyness, on the synergy, the weights make the cyclics very slow. no pitchyness at all with weights removed or fully in

Cheers Jamie, had a chat with Ade earlier and he says exactly the same as you due to the 5mm flybar being quite heavy anyway, so no weights are on just the bare paddles

no worries. i must admit i fell in to the trap of thinking it needed them from the experience of the 3mm 50 size stubz, but alas no

Thats why i wondered, saw the posts about the 3mm ones and thought i might then need them for the synergy.
Cheers and see you at the DMHC, and i will be over to replace my cracked canopy.
