  • BBT maniac blades

I just got a pair of maniac 603 from fast-lad and they are warped.
Put the trailing edges flat together and thereis a 1/8" gap. Most of the bend is in one about mid span.
    I've emailed fast-lad about it.

Anyone have experience of these blades?

I have an unflown pair of 550's and they are the same, but both blades have the same amount of warping.
    Clones are bad

    .... that includes Align ones

Yug on RunRyder had this problem with a number of sets of these blades earlier in the year if i remember. I've got a set of 603mm that i'm waiting to try out and having just checked them they don't appear to be warped at all. Maybe get a replacement set and see if they are any better.

I'm using 603's, 550's and 500's on various helis and I've never had a problem, they're one of the stiffest blades around both in the length and in torsion and find them very good blades, especially at the price. I think most of the German Mikado sponsored boys are using them on the Logo 500's and 600's so there can't be a lot wrong with them, maybe just a bad batch?

The Maniac blades I got from Real Raptors were very nearly straight. They flew great, they seemed to load a bit heavier than the radix though. They also had a lot less reserve momentum in autos.

No good for turf cutting though....

mine have a slight warp, makes no difference in flight it seems. Much more accurate blades than Radix. I can do a very tidy chaos on Maniacs, put Radix on and it all goes messy.

I think their definately for the harder flyer I got a pair of 623's for my Titan, needed to keep the headspeed really high to get rid of vibrations. swapped back to the TT ones I had for now, as my flying is not up to it yet

So far I always had exellent service from fast-lad.
I received a 9254 where one mountintg lug had been damaged in the post, and they swapped it no problem by return post.
I returned the warped maniacs mentioned above, had a conversion with them and they checked their remaining stock and said they didn't seem to be anyt straighter. They gave me a refund and I got a straighter pair elsewhere.

All the bits to fix my rappy, ordered sunday new years day on the web from fast-lad, are on my desk now.
