  • fbl blade on flybar

hi there i was just wondering and cant see any wrong in it but im guessing fbl blade on a flybar is cool? obviosly they make these for a reason... fbl so i assume u wouldnt use other way round. But i have to ask as fbl helis sound soo cool i love that deep farting noise and align 600d blade just too quiet unless u hammer them

im a boy i know but noise is what half of its about.... isnt it?

    all the best terry

I used the 325D FBL blades on my 450 Pro long before I took the flybar off. They do make a nicer noise and feel more stable too.
I'm FBL now anyway but they caused no problem when I wasn't.

      Hi Terry,

That's just fine to run FBL blades on a flybar, but you may find your heli makes less noise as they should perform quite sedate on a flybar heli.

Your best bet for noise is some light weight stiff blades, maniacs and NHP are pretty loud .

Although Edge Flybar blades should fly very good and still make some noise .

Making noise is all about grabbing air, giving it a good whack and resonance! Wide chord also helps in this aspect...

      Cheers,

      Laurence

I always thought the Align blades were pretty loud but try one of these...

http://www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/mani...603-p-931.html (stiff as blades, not the most efficient mind you)

http://www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/insa...5-p-15467.html (these are the newer version of the above blades, not sure if they make more noise or not.)

Does anyone know why Align 520 blade's is included with both the flybarred and flybarless versions??
Mine was originally the flybar model which I converted with a trex 600fbl head and 3gx unit,,,,
What other blades would be suitable?
              Sab Goblin 570
              Sab Goblin 500

With flybarless you can really fly any blades you can get your hands on, the settings can be adjusted to make most blades fly how you like. The differences are mainly in efficiency, flight stability and the stress on your servos having to move the blades.

I think the Align blades cover both models, I am not 100% but I don't think Align supply flybar or flybarless blades for the 520s for the reason mentioned above.

Saying that, these 523mm FBL blades you may prefer:
