  • Align 600 blades banned at my club!!!

    Hi fellas.

So, my mate rings me today as he's just got to the club & there are written notices everywhere stating that under no circumstances are 600mm Align blades to be used there & the situation remains so until further notice.

He didn't know whether it meant the Carbon or glass or both as it made no mention of either but it did mention either 'A' series or 'B' series being affected...Sorry chaps I can't recall which
He was Jumping up & down about it as he has two pairs of Align Carbons for his Titan & no others...So he was in effect grounded.

Anyone heard anything about this elsewhere?
Must be serious for our club to ban anything
    Cheers,

    Gazza

LOL! thats funny, i have also used all the Align blades and they are just as good as any other top end blade, i attend alot of funflys and the majority of blades are align D blades, they track great never had a problem from them and they snap your heli like no other i have flown, i run them on my 700 and my N5 , i just wish they would start sending out some of the first align d blades the ones with just the carbon stripe and the root, those were the original d blades now ther calling them C blades, in my pinion they are the best 600 size blade made for my style of flying

If they think Align blades are bad they should ban Torsions for ever. I've never had a problem with Align blades on my 600 and would rate them highly. No failures whatsoever.

Lol, the linked thread/topic has 2007 dates on the postings so i think it's safe to say the problems been fixed :-)

Agreed, someone at the field done a pair of the night blades and there was no resin on half the carbon when split open, was like pulling out horse hair.

A pilot at our club had a set of Align blades on his 600n. He was hovering it for the first time after a rebuild when one blade flew off and went between him and another pilot. When they found the blade, it had failed at the root. The brass insert was still on the bolt. I felt bad because I had given him the blades which had been on my MD500.

I did not realise there had been reported problems with them.
