  • Main blade rattle?

    Hi all,

After my woof, woof & poof experience with some TT600 mains on my Raptor I switched to a pair of Radix.

Not had any chance to fly yet due to work & weather etc. but was fettling this morning and noticed that one of the mains "rattles" when I tap it near the middle along its length - as if something is a bit loose inside maybe.

Is this something to concern myself about or am I over sensitive after my last blade experience?
    Cheers, Lee.

I would be. Especially if only one did it. Could be a loose lead weight inside .
If it comes away completely it could send the balance way out with disastrous consequences. There not cheap blades, so I'd send it/them back if I was you.

I just spoke to Fastlads and the chap there rekoned it's probably a bit of glue or something inside and it's nothing to worry about.

      What do you guys think??
Do any of your blades kind of sound like there is something loose inside??

Something loose implies it's something that can move about, and with increasing rpm could cause problems. Even very slight imbalances become exacerbated with increasing rpm.

Speak to Jamie and send it back

id not be happy with flying them like that. As has been said, it might only be a gram or 2, but if it moves out to the blade tip, then the force it exerts on the blade and heli can be multiplyed many many times. Send them back and ask for replacements, im sure there wont be a problem

              Arrrr, they'll be fine then

Probably a 95% chance they are fine but I'd never take a risk without knowing they are 100%. They aslo cost quite a bit too so you should be completly happy with them.
