when i had the raptors i used both 710 and 690 and the 690 performed best for my flying style so i would say go for the 690's

I was using the original Maniac 703 blades on my 700 and loved them. Unfortunately I broke them in a crash and could only get Maniac 2's. The Maniac 2's are lighter & stiffer than the originals but I found auto performance was poor compared to the originals, I'm guessing the Insane blades are lighter & stiffer than the 2's.

If I could still get the original Maniac 703's I'd be happily using them now, sometimes newer isn't better, just different!

At 173 grams they certainly don't auto that well compared to their heavier counterpart.

I bought some 703mm Maniac 2 blades from Fastlads yesterday and really do like them but.!!!!!!

As SRH990 states the older version was certainly a better blade IMO.

Appearance/quality look the same, they are a tad lighter though making them quick on cyclics and very responsive.

Still excellent blades Andy or I wouldn't be buying them.

Tim,why go for the maniac2 over the insane any reason or simply for the size?
